In the latest workshop video, the Parts Specialists from Diesel Technic take a look at the mechanics and associated components of the truck driver’s door.
This time, the duo consists of workshop professionals Lars and Jan. Both have years of practical experience, but this time there is a problem – at least with the window motor. To get to the bottom of the problem, Lars unceremoniously dismantles the components and checks the window regulator as well as the window guide and frame, but not without first securing the window with masking tape.
Meanwhile, Jan takes a closer look at the door catch strap: too much play here indicates heavy wear – and thus a necessary replacement of the item. Before the replacement, however, the door hinges have to be checked. Meanwhile, Lars takes a look at the old door lock and its Bowden cable.
