Fan motors
suitable for: DAF, Fiat, Ford, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Scania, Volvo etc.
Some models are balanced using special clamps or balancing holes on the fan wheels to minimise vibrations and thus ensure even greater reliability. “However, this is not the case for every fan motor, as it depends on the individual production,” explains Parts Specialist Niklas. „However, the product quality is not impaired if the brackets or holes are missing.”
Modern fan motors work together with the vehicle’s automatic climate control components to maintain a constant temperature. Thanks to the infinitely variable control, the output of the fan motor can be flexibly adapted to the driver’s needs and the outside temperature.
DT Spare Parts also offers solutions for older vehicles. Here, the fan speed is regulated via a resistor, which is placed in the air flow in these vehicles to prevent overheating. However, if there is dirt in the fan system, the resistor may overheat, causing the fan to only operate at maximum speed. Before replacing the resistor, which is usually quite labour-intensive, it is worth checking the function of the rotary fan switch.

Regular maintenance of the ventilation system is important to ensure that it functions optimally. This includes cleaning the ventilation ducts and replacing filters.
