Water pump

The water pump shaft is driven via the belt pulley. It is manufactured from high-quality rolling bearing steel and is used in many pumps as an internal race for the rolling bearings. The water pump housings are optimally tailored to the forces, speeds and revolutions of the belt drive.d functionality of the aggregates used as well as proper installation.

Slide ring seals form the core of each water pump; they have to be thoroughly high-quality to avoid leaks. The placement of the DT Spare Parts slide ring seals is pressed into the water pump housing and prevents unscrewing and loosening via a specially applied sealant. Springs adjusted to the seal guarantee that the silicone carbide slide ring washers exert the correct contact pressure.

The impellers in DT Spare Parts water pumps are optimally constructed to achieve a high coolant flow capacity and thus also a good degree of efficiency. The earlier standard cast or steel impellers are replaced in modern application by plastic impellers (PPX, X-TEL). The lower weight of this impellers avoids the formation of voids in fluids (so-called 'cavitation') and minimises the bearing load.
