The steering column transfers the movement of the steering wheel to the steering gear. It consists of two shafts connected by a universal joint.

By connecting the steering wheel with the torsion bar of the steering gear, the rotational movement of the steering wheel is transferred almost without loss and without play. Furthermore, the steering column makes it possible for the steering wheel to be adjusted to the optimal setting of height, angle and distance to the driver.

Tips & tricks:

Lubricate the steering before assembly, because it is not supplied with lubrication.
Check the number of teeth in the fixture of steering which must be equal to the corresponding axis of the steering box.
Screw must be used with diameter that prevents the shaft output in the recess for locking.
The screw must be tightened until the shaft is fully clamped. Always use a new locking nut.
