Expansion of the product range

They are available in different shapes, sizes and materials. As a result, they can fulfil different tasks in the vehicle. In the ‘filters’ category, the DT Spare Parts brand offers air filters, fuel filters and oil filters. The selection for European vehicles is large and product divisions such as construction vehicles or transporters are optimally covered. This year, the product range was further expanded to include Japanese applications.

Oil, air and fuel filters are now also available for brands such as UD, HINO, ISUZU and FUSO in the Diesel Technic Partner Portal. This expansion means that individual market requirements can be satisfied in an even more customised way. In the new PS Tips video, Parts Specialist Kevin shows the newly available filters and explains the quality standards that have been set.

A comprehensive DTQS inspection guarantees the optimal performance and longevity of the filter. Every single spare part from DT Spare Parts offers a high fitting accuracy and is characterised by fulfilling the demanding quality standards.

In the dimensional inspection, every component is precisely measured, from the exact length and width to various diameters. The filter performance, in particular the air permeability, is checked using a modern test bench. “Pressure tests are carried out at various points on the filter and the results are combined into an average value,” explains Kevin.

The Parts Specialist has prepared a brief overview on the subject of maintenance and what to look out for:

Maintenance intervals must be followed to ensure that the filter has a long lifetime.
Intermediate cleaning for construction and agricultural vehicles: It is recommended to clean the air filter regularly for dust-intensive activities. If the filter is “tight”, it must be replaced or renewed at the latest when the interval indicates or specifies this.
Installation instructions: The filters are all equipped with sealing rings, which must also be replaced. The installation instructions for the oil and fuel filters are marked on the cartridge.

“Some of the filters from DT Spare Parts are flame-retardant and so perfectly suited to demanding areas of application,” emphasises Kevin. These particular features are specially labelled in the Partner Portal. There is also an indication of which vehicles or brands the corresponding filter is suitable for.
