Vehicle mirrors come in various designs: main mirrors, wide-angle mirrors and ramp mirrors. Depending on the application and the area of use, the mirrors have different mirror glass radii: “Main mirrors have a large radius and a smaller viewing window, while wide-angle mirrors have a smaller radius and a particularly large viewing area”, explains Rolf. The radii of the glasses are checked by the DTQS (Diesel Technic Quality System) using a special radius gauge to ensure the highest quality and safety.

When it comes to installing mirror glasses, there are options like the plug-in type and the bayonet lock.

Many of the mirrors and mirror glass are “E-marked” and fulfil therefore the European requirements and safety standards.
